Agricultural Produce Market Committee, Saoner.

Saoner Agricultural Produce Market Committee was established on 04/01/1973 under the leadership of Late Damodarrao Naik. He started his work under the guidance of Cooperative Maharshi Late Babasaheb Kedar. While the land acquisition process for the market yard was being done with the District Officer Nagpur, Late Damodarrao Naik overcame many obstacles and finally got possession of 2.08 Hectares of land on 09/03/1977. The acknowledgement of this is that Saoner Market Yard was named "Late. Damodarrao Naik Market Yard" on 05/04/1980 under the chairmanship of Hon. Former Minister Narendraji Tidke in the presence of Sahkar Maharshi Babasaheb Kedar and it was given at the naming ceremony by the auspicious hands of Justice Chandrashekhar Dharmadhikari.

After the death of Late Damodarrao Naik, Late Gunwantrao Kedar held the post of Chairman of the Market Committee from 17/08/1982 to 10/02/2004. During his tenure, the loans taken from the government, Agriculture and Marketing Board Pune and Cooperative Bank for construction were repaid by 26/08/2009.
